Chanel Blush in Accent #84 2013 holiday limited edition

When i first heard about this blush, it was on YouTube. I always consider myself a more Dior girl than a Chanel girl. Therefore, i didnt really care for it.

Then, more and more beauty girls on YouTube started to talk about it. I then started seeing swatches and seeing it wore by these girls in their videos.

At $43 dollars, i didnt order it right away. I could though, just by clicking buy on my phone. But i didn't. I controled my self.

These are my reasons for not picking it up :
1. It's limited edition: would i be so upset when i finish it and realize i cant get another one, yes.

2.$43 price tag : a bit much for my budget right now

3. I have a bronzer ? And Nars Madly ?
I have seen comparisons between accent and madly, they are like sisters. Madly does give yiu the same effect on your cheeks. Then again, the whole point being since they are so similar, and i love Madly so much i would love accent as well. .

In conclusion: Torn in between.

Lip products

Now, do you see how many products I have ? Yea, it's a little too much for me. Yet I can't stop buying them. I love lip sticks, they are my favorite makeup item. 

Now, let me backup a little. 

My first obsession was for lip sticks. I love lipstick. I love collecting lipsticks, they are such a feminine product. I'm planning on getting a dior lipstick soon. 

Then I really liked lip stains. I love wearing lip stains to a special occasion or a job interview . I don't like lip stains that are too harsh on the lips though. 

Finally, 

I used to dislike lip glosses, because they are so sticky. However, I now enjoy lip glosses, because they are easy to apply ( my favorite is stila lip glaze!) and so moisturizing ! 

As a business woman, I don't like apply a lipstick at work, it looks not professional. However, a nude or a light pink is much easier to apply though. 

CURRENT GOAL :

Use these babies up ! Especially the old lip glosses !

September Favorites 2013:

I used to have a lot of makeup back then.... or I used to change up my makeup a lot back then. But after a while you just always go back to basics. You always go back to what worked. This month is all about the all time favorites, except for one product. 


1) Smashbox eyeshadow (gold color):
First of all, smashbox doesn't make individual eyeshadows. What a shame! I will always blame smashbox for it, because I love so many of the shadows in this palette, however I can't repurchase them ever again. 
 

the palette came out in spring of 2012 a collection by Smashbox called " to be discovered". All the colors are so beautiful! The best thing was there are five matte shades, two of them are perfect for crease color. 

For this month, I particularly loved the gold shade. Every morning I am in a rush to get my makeup done. What I have been doing is just using my fingers to put on that gold color. It's so easy and instantly brighten up my eyes. 

2. Bronze Goddess Bronzer by Estee Lauder. 
I got last one of this limited edition bronzer by Estee Lauder at my local department store. I have the shade #2. There are three shades, #1, 2, 3. Light, Medium, Dark. 



I'm glad I give this a try. Love it for contour or all over bronze effect. 

3. Benefit crease less cream shadow in RSVP
 

This is one of my HG product. I can use it now and then and always love my eye makeup with it. I sometimes use it alone, put it up to my brow bone and it looks divine. 

I love love LOVE the doves on the pot. I don't know why the heck Benefit decided to ditch their classic simple packaging to the piece of crap above. 

I will not re-purchase after this. will not re-purchase because of the crappy packaging. 

4. maybelline falsies mascara -Waterproof
 This is my HG mascara. I tried to like some thing else, but nothing compares. LOVE.
 

YSL Rouge Volupte SPF 15 Rose Paris #27 Discontinued! Official!

Shocking news! YSL Rouge Volupte SPF 15 Rose Paris #27 is officially being Discontinued!

I started to suspect that YSL discontinued this color when I couldn't find it anywhere. Meaning, I went online or in stores, to Sephora, YSL website, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks.. you name it. Wherever a department store might carry YSL beauty line, I checked. They don't have it. 
The only two places you can find this color is amazon or ebay. Rose Paris is still on the YSL Website, however, it is out of stock. 

Finally, I contacted YSL for this issue. The picture above was the official answer from YSL. Rose Paris #27 has already been discontinued.



 

Until this day I couldn't find a dupe or something exactly like it. 

Rose Paris was perfect.
