What have I been doing ? Well, I started a beauty channel on Youtube about two years ago, but I never really posted any videos. For last two months of 2012, I was trying to get that channel up and running again. I started posting beauty videos, such as "Monthly Favorites", "Products I recommend" etc, etc. The reality is, I am doing these videos because it is my hobby. I love to learn and try out new beauty products and talk about them. The purpose of my channel is not to make money or hit certain number of views or subscribers.
I don't have a $500 camera to film. I don't have professional lighting, or a Mac computer to edit my videos. The point is, I got discouraged and I got tired of Youtube.
Honestly, I am at a point where I have my stable products. I use these products daily. I don't really change up my products anymore. Since I have sensitive skin, I hardly ever buy new face products anymore. Because of all this, it's hard for me to do a "Monthly favorites", when all my products have been the same.
I am not entirely comfortable putting my self out there on the internet. I still think it's awkward to talk to a camera. Now I have realized all this. I am not lying to myself anymore. In conclusion, it is just not my thing to be on Youtube. I also realized, that it is okay to close my Youtube channel. I still have this. I still have my blog. I will continue to write posts regarding beauty products.
After all, I am still a beauty junkie. I enjoy sharing my experience and my favorites with you guys.
